What is a Financial Reality Fair?

A Financial Reality Fair is an interactive, hands‑on event that lets students step into their future and experience what it’s really like to manage money in the real world.

Designed for high school, technical school, Job Corps, and college students, the Reality Fair transforms financial literacy into a fun, fast‑paced challenge. Students choose a career, get a “monthly salary,” and then navigate the ups and downs of adulthood from finding a place to live to budgeting for food, transportation, clothes, and more.

But it’s not all bills and responsibilities. Students also explore fun choices like entertainment, travel, hobbies, and lifestyle upgrades while trying to stay within their budget.

It’s eye‑opening, empowering, and fun. Students walk away with new confidence, smarter money habits, and a clearer picture of how their choices today shape their financial future.
